- Laboratory of transmission technology offers functional models of digital transmission systems: 10 SDH muldexes, DWDM system, Ethernet switches with 10 Gbps rate, access multiplexer (DSLAM) ADSL2+ and VDSL2, terminal equipment for SHDSL, ADSL2+, VDSL2, passive optical networks: EPON and GPON, fiber optic and metallic link systems connected to metallic and optical transmission paths.
- The relevant instrumental equipment allows verification of setting and testing procedures as well as checking the transmission parameters, monitoring and remote management. There is eg network analyzer, PCM30/32 analyzers, error meters, 2 to 10 Mbps SDH/PDH analyzers,ADSL/VDSL analyzer, TDR subscriber lines meter, and 10 Mbit to 10 Gbit Ethernet/IP analyzer. The laboratory is connected with other laboratories of the Department to allow teaching of other electronic communication systems.
- The laboratory has undergone reconstruction in 2002, followed by adding the optical infrastructure in 2011 and it is frequently complemented by measurement and diagnostic equipment. Existing transmission systems are continuously updated to the newer versions.
